HCGS Meeting May 9th 2016 - FamilySearch Indexing

The meeting of the Honolulu County Genealogical Society will be Saturday May 9th, 2015 at the usual place, Manoa Gardens Community room, 2790-9 Kahaloa Dr., Honolulu, Hawaii, at 9:00 am.

  The featured presentation is:

        "FamilySearch Indexing: Take the Challenge! 

A brief overview of the indexing program of FamilySearch.org:

          how it works; how you can help."   

     The speaker was Sharon Matsunaga who provided a power point presentation on "FamilySearch.org Indexing" and brought booklets to hand out.  She worked for 23 years at the American Cancer Society in Nuuanu and has been doing indexing for FamilySearch.org since 2007.  She began as a FamilySearch.org arbitrator in 2014.   In addition, she became a Family History Consultant in December 2014 and volunteers at the Family History Center in Kaneohe, Oahu.
