The January meeting of the
Honolulu County Genealogical Society met Saturday, January 11th at 9 am
at
the Manoa
Gardens Housing community room, as usual, 2790-9 Kahaloa Dr.,
Honolulu, Hawaii.
Elections were held for the slate of Officers and Board Members.
Pictures of the past community involvement at the Mission Houses Museum fair and our Christmas/Holiday party were shown.

Trisha Mach Robertson gave a wonderful power point presentation entitled "Letters From Poland" It's all about what happened after she found some old letters from Sokolow, MLP, Poland written in the1950's and 1960's to her Aunt Wanda Mach Nartonis. These letters revealed clues which led to an overseas road trip to discover her ancestors and cousins. Trisha knows how to tell a story and told it well with her first time creation of a power point presentation.
Surnames she is researching in Poland include Mach, Baron, Dynowski, Lewandowski, Szajerska and Wozniak.
