Nanette Napoleon speaking on Hawai'i Sons of the Civil War

In Memory of Hawai'i Sons of the American Civil War from 1861-1865
"Although the Kingdom of Hawai'i declared itself neutral in this great conflict, some Hawai'i citizens joined the Union and the Confederate forces to fight for a cause they supported and to which they were willing to give their last full measure of devotion"
